Anthony Stanton, Lawyer Consultant, has held key legal positions in the public and private sectors over the past 25 years. Anthony served in the Australian Defence Force for 15 years, commencing his service as an armoured fighting vehicle crewman in the Army and concluding as a Legal Officer in the Royal Australian Navy. Post his military career, Anthony has worked as a corporate lawyer, government business manager, investment fund manager and in–house counsel for a property group.
In the maritime field, Anthony has in depth knowledge of operational matters stemming from his time at sea with the Royal Australian Navy and later positions with Maritime Safety Queensland. As a marine incident investigator and later manager of the Pilotage and Hydrographic Service, Anthony has the connections and experience to solve complex problems involving maritime authorities.
Anthony’s experience includes administrative and criminal actions with respect to enforcement of maritime laws in both a civil and military context.
Most importantly, Anthony brings to Pacific Maritime a wealth of commercial acumen stemming from his broad experience in contracts and tenders, joint ventures, capital raising, corporate governance and dispute resolution. Anthony is known for his forthright and practical advice, and an ability to distil complex matters to a digestible format.
