Richard holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from Griffith University, a Master of Laws from Queensland University of Technology, a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Behavioural Science from The University of Queensland. Richard is also a Registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law. Richard is admitted as a Lawyer in both the Queensland and New South Wales Supreme Courts as well as the High Court of Australia. Richard has extensive legal experience spanning more than a decade. He began his career as a commercial lawyer and has since predominantly worked as a specialist family lawyer. Richard’s expertise includes complex property settlements involving trust structures and corporate entities, superannuation splitting, child support, parenting matters, domestic violence issues and international relocation cases. Richard’s additional qualifications in commerce and psychology equip him well in navigating the complex landscape that exists in family law. Outside of the law, Richard enjoys listening to music, singing, Latin dancing, running, hiking and enjoying the great outdoors such as beaches, rainforests and hinterland areas.
