I was born on the Sunshine Coast and went to primary school and high school here.
Prior to getting into law, I was a registered nurse. I worked in intensive care, emergency, aged care, surgical and medical in a variety of places such as Sunshine Coast, Western Australia, England and Scotland.
I enjoy sports and played rugby league for many years. I also enjoy surfing, touch football, boxing and swimming.
I believe in helping my community and volunteer my time with a number of community organisations including Sunshine Coast Law Association (Vice President), Sunshine Coast Gympie Rugby League (Board member) and Neighbourhood Watch (committee).
I have a beautiful wife and three wonderful children who make every day special.
I began working in law in 2005 and enjoy helping clients in a number of areas of Commercial Law with a special interest in Elder Law, Estate planning, Estate administration and Estate litigation.
I extend my interest in Elder and Succession Law by being a sessional lecturer at University of Sunshine Coast in Elder Law & Succession and a member of the Queensland Law Society's Elder Law Committee. I also continue my involvement with the University of Sunshine COast as a member of the University's external advisory committee for law.
