Trent Wakerley

I was born on the Sunshine Coast and went to primary school and high school here.

Prior to getting into law, I was a registered nurse.  I worked in intensive care, emergency, aged care, surgical and medical in a variety of places such as Sunshine Coast, Western Australia, England and Scotland.

I enjoy sports and played rugby league for many years.  I also enjoy surfing, touch football, boxing and swimming.

I believe in helping my community and volunteer my time with a number of community organisations including Sunshine Coast Law Association (Vice President), Sunshine Coast Gympie Rugby League (Board member) and Neighbourhood Watch (committee).

I have a beautiful wife and three wonderful children who make every day special.

I began working in law in 2005 and enjoy helping clients in a number of areas of Commercial Law with a special interest in Elder Law, Estate planning,  Estate administration and Estate litigation.

I extend my interest in Elder and Succession Law by being a sessional lecturer at University of Sunshine Coast in Elder Law & Succession and a member of the Queensland Law Society's Elder Law Committee.  I also continue my involvement with the University of Sunshine COast as a member of the University's external advisory committee for law.
