Following his retirement from advocacy in 2024\, he continues to contribute to the profession through his work as a mediator. \nIn this presentation\, Robert will explore two key topics: \n\nComments on Commission – a discussion of executors’ and trustees’ commission claims\, including practical and procedural considerations; and\nThe Tolerated Territory of Trusts – a reflection on whether trust deeds can validly extend trustee powers beyond those permitted under the Trusts Act\, even where the Act asserts its provisions operate despite contrary terms in the deed.\n\nWith his depth of experience and dry wit\, Robert brings thoughtful insight to these complex and often contentious areas of trust law. \n“Members: Please log in to receive your discounted ticket prices. DESCRIPTION:Friday 29 August 2025 from 11am\nTwin Waters Golf Club\n151 Ocean Drive\, Twin Waters \nThank you to our major sponsor:  \nThe Sunshine Coast Law Association is pleased to once again host our annual Charity Golf Day at Twin Waters Golf Club. \nCome and join us for a fun day of golf\, networking and raising funds for the Suncoast Community Legal Service. This event is a favourite in the Sunshine Coast legal and business community calendar. With just over 100 players’ spots available\, tickets are likely to sell out quick like previous years! \nEvent Details: \nWe will be playing an 18-hole Four Ball Ambrose. \nEach player will be provided: entry to the competition\, shared golf cart (1 cart per 2 players)\, driving range balls for 1 hour prior to tee off\, light lunch (sandwich and bottle of water)\,  5 drinks vouchers and canapes at the Club House upon your return. \nPlayers may bring their own set of golf clubs or hire clubs are available at your own expense from the Pro Shop on site. \nWe invite you to join us for registration from 11am\, with a shotgun start at 12pm sharp. \nPresentations and the raffle draw will follow from 5.30pm in the Club House. \nSponsorship Opportunities: \nWe have a range of different sponsorship opportunities to suit a variety of budgets and interests.
