I worked at Butler McDermott Lawyers from 2006 to 2008 as a Conveyancing Clerk before becoming admitted as a Solicitor in September 2008. I remained with Butler McDermott working in the property and commercial area until October 2010.
I then commenced work for the Queensland State Government in the Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) in the commercial property team. Following the election on 24 March 2012 DERM was merged with DEEDI and the commercial property law team was housed under the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, but serviced 6 different departments being:
Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry;
Department of Natural Resources and Mines;
Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing;
Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games;
Department of Environment and Heritage Protection; and
Department of Energy and Water Supply.
I remained working with the State Government until January 2014 when I joined Pacific Law. Pacific Law is a commercial and property firm which deals with residential and commercial conveyancing, commercial leasing, retail shop leasing, franchising, buying and selling businesses, setting up trusts, joint ventures, options and succession among others.
