Jessica Popple
President
Jessica is a solicitor at Pippa Colman & Associates having a keen interest in Domestic Violence, Child Protection, Family Law and Wills and Estates. Jessica was admitted as a solicitor in 2018 after completing her studies at the University of the Sunshine Coast and has recently completed a Master of Applied Law (Family Law) at the College of Law. She also sits as a board member for the Suncoast Community Legal Service and Mingary Care (formerly Sunshine Hospice) and is Secretary for the Nambour & Hinterland Blues Australian Football Club. In 2022, Jessica was named the Women’s Law Association of Queensland (WLAQ) Emergent Woman Lawyer of the Year.
Harry McDonald
Vice President
Harry is an Associate at Aitken Legal practising exclusively in employment & industrial law and exclusively for employers. After completing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2017, Harry practised in the employment, commercial & property law teams at Greenhalgh Pickard until February 2022. He is currently studying a Masters of Labour Law and Relations (MLLR) at the University of Sydney. Harry is also a committee member of the Queensland Law Society’s Industrial Law Policy Committee.
Michelle Richardson
Secretary
Prior to being admitted as a solicitor, Michelle was a paralegal for many years working in most areas of law and found her niche in the Family Law arena.
Michelle joined Lynch Law in September 2022, taking on the role of Senior Solicitor in the firm’s Family Law team.

Michelle has a particular interest in children’s matters and is able to guide clients through the maze of negotiating an appropriate parenting order or parenting plan which suits each client’s particular family circumstance.
Michelle is also part of the remote volunteers’ team at the Women’s Legal Service Queensland, offering her time to provide free legal advice to women from rural, regional and remote areas of Queensland in relation to domestic violence, child protection, child support and family law matters.
Leah Robertson
Treasurer
Leah, Deputy Principal Legal Officer for Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Services (QIFVLS) and is Brisbane based.

Leah was admitted to practice 2015, starting her role at QIFVLS in 2019. She travels all over Queensland and the Torres Strait to remote communities, finding remote front-line work has been the quickest and most effective way of improving cultural competency and her skills as a practitioner.
Sammy-Lee Brown

Sammy graduated from QUT in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in both Business and Law (Honours). Sammy was admitted to the legal profession in 2022 and is a valued member of the commercial law team at Griffith Parry Lawyers. Sammy was previously a professional kickboxer representing Australia and held five Australian titles across four different weight divisions and became the Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion in 2014, and the Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion in 2017. Sammy achieved all these accolades whilst completing full-time university studies, working part-time, and traveling internationally to compete.
Jodie Bruce

Jodie is an experienced Solicitor with a demonstrated history of working in Commercial Law. Skilled in Commercial Law, Property Law, Insolvency, Commercial Litigation, Estates, Banking, Lending, Insurance, and Coaching. Strong legal professional with a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology.

Pippa Colman
Committee Member
Pippa commenced her legal career at the age of 17. Having lived and worked for most of her life on the Sunshine Coast, Pippa is an established Coast identity who started her firm Pippa Colman & Associates in March 2001. Pippa is also a qualified Mediator and Arbitrator and is engaged by other lawyers to act in this capacity. Pippa is also a Family Law Accredited Specialist.
Jayana Kerr
Committee Member
Jayana is a compensation lawyer at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers providing legal services to clients for their personal injuries matters including motor vehicle accidents, workers’ compensation, and public liability. Working on matters of varied complexities including NIISQ, litigation guardian matters, dependency claims, nervous shock claims, cross-jurisdictional matters, and high quantum claims. Jayana graduated from the University of Queensland in Bachelor of Law with Honours in 2019.
Callum Lee
Committee Member
Callum is a lawyer at Pippa Colman & Associates practising in family law, wills and estates, and estate planning. Callum was admitted as a Solicitor in 2019 after graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast. He will soon complete a Masters at The College of Law Australia with a double major in Wills & Estates and Estate Planning. Callum is also a committee member of LifeFlight Queensland.
Alicia Lucas

Alicia has been working exclusively in Family Law since 2015, initially as a Law Clerk and then as a solicitor following her admission to practice in April 2020. With a passion for Family Law at Griffith Parry Lawyers, Alicia has a particular interest in Parenting and Domestic Violence, also assisting with Child Protection matters, Child Support and complex Property Settlements.
Hannah McSharer

Hannah is a lawyer with Pippa Colman & Associates having been admitted as a Solicitor in 2019. Prior to gaining admission as a Solicitor, Hannah worked as a Paralegal for several years in the areas of Family Law, Domestic Violence and Succession Law, and volunteered with Women’s Legal Service as a Domestic Violence Court Paralegal in their Brisbane office.
Emma Middleton

Emma is Family Law Solicitor at Toomey Family Law having attained a Bachelor of Law for the University of the Sunshine Coast. Emma is a member of Family Law Practitioners Association (FLPA), Queensland Law Society (QLS), Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia (FLS) and is also a Volunteer Lawyer at Sunshine Coast Community Legal Service.
Charlotte Monaghan

Charlotte studied Law and Arts at La Trobe University and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia in 2015. As Practice Leader on the Sunshine Coast for Australian Family Lawyers, Charlotte brings extensive experience across a range of simple and complex Family Law issues from divorce/separation, parenting, property settlements and domestic violence.
Samantha Shanahan

Sam is General Counsel at Ramsay Health Care Australia with a demonstrated history of working within both commercial and clinical practice in the health care industry and broader legal market. Recognised as a respected and trusted advisor, Sam provides advice to the Ramsay Health Care Australia business in relation to legal risk, clinical incidents, medical malpractice claims, complaints, doctor matters, privacy, and data breach.
Ross McSwan
Committee Member
Ross is a Barrister and Mediator, admitted as a solicitor in 1994 and called to bar in 2007. His primary practice areas are: Alternative Dispute Resolution; Employment Law – Workplace Investigations; Family Law (child support, domestic violence, defacto property); Administrative Law and; Education. In 2004 he founded the boutique dispute resolution firm Ross McSwan providing Mediation, Training, and Investigation services to workplaces to enable them to manage conflict. Ross is a Commander with the Royal Australian Navy Reserve (Legal Corps) and was one of the first mediators to be appointed by the ADF to resolve complex workplace disputes.
